I like how the current system works, but I’m having difficulty distinguishing which items are highlighted by my search.
Maybe the non-highlighted items need to be darker or the highlighted items can have some kind of border around them to make them more visible?
While we’re at it, I love the fact that my search terms are saved when exiting the inventory! But something feels off about the input field, it doesn’t respond the same way a web input field does for example. Not sure if its software limitation or what, but it’s kind of annoying when a click it and it instantly marks the whole search term instead of simply putting the cursor at the back. On top of that double click marks the last letter in the search term instead of simply deselecting the text and putting the cursor at the very end as it should.
This is a brilliant request as you really cannot see what items are highlighted and which are not. Or rather it is very easy to miss smaller items being highlighted as there is not enough distinction.
I also like to request for precise text matching in the search field. If I type “void damage” in there, then I’d like to see only items with that full phrase, and NOT every item containing “void” and every item containing “damage”.
I think it already works this way, at least in my experience. The issue that I have in this respect is that it uses the Alt text as part of the criteria. If you search for “Void Damage” and something is identified but you don’t see it in the item, press Alt and see if it’s there. This has been my experience.
I could be wrong of course so please don’t take this as definitive.
Yip… Its trying to be “clever” but not actually winning - e.g. it will also show up Elemental when you search for more specific terms like Fire or Lightning etc. Most times this is ok, but when you want to be specific it borks things - especially if, like me, you have 150+ stash tabs.
Yeah. Sometimes this can be both a good and bad thing depending on the context. I would prefer a less “intuitive” search so that we can be more specific on searches tho.
And I would love it if we could have some conditional things like OR and AND (like “Rogue Body AND Poison Resistance”… and a longer search text field.
