Few words about my Spellblade experience

I think this mastery should blend melee and spells together, but instead it goes full on melee with few spell triggers here and there. I was expecting it to be like 50-50 but there isn’t much spell support in the passive tree and skill trees.
The passive bonuses are also underwhelming, both giving ward on melee attacks, might aswell merge them and add a new bonus that grants spells some melee scaling.
Another thing i found odd was the Dormant energy mechanic from Surge skill which works only when Surge is on cd, however the whole mastery scales well with cd reduction and even in the mastery tree the passive “Outrun and Outlast” gives Surge specifically cd reduction, which is anti-synergy with this mechanic.

Also the aura visual is really bugged right now.

Well said , if you hadn’t written this explanation I was. Cooked up a fire aura(lightning) build with the surge dormant energy stacks and I was so disappointed with it due to what can only be seen as unintended functionality I put the game down. EHG please fix the Dormant Energy stacks working off CD and also the scaling of Fire Aura(lightning) because the Surge tree nodes seem not to affect proc’d fire auras either. It’s a shame because the build functionally has a lot going for it.
