In a recent update, we overhauled our end-game system and introduced a new boss, Shade of Orobyss, that lurks within. This boss is the most complex encounter we have made to date.
Now that you have had a chance to encounter the Shade of Orobyss, his different forms, and 30 abilities - were you able quickly defeat him or did it take a few attempts? What did you like and dislike about the encounter? We are always interested in what your feedback and what you have to say
What Shade of Orobyss variations was the most fun and engaging to fight against?
The long lasting circling comets are insanely cool, because they overlap will almost all mechanics and can lead to very interesting combos.
I really do like that the Shade only uses most of it’s movement skills when the player is a certain distant away from him.
But his “Shield Rush-esq” Void Charge ability something is really unfair, when you step far away from him and get closer to him again, he sometimes still does the charge, when you are already very close to him, leaving no possible way to dodge the ability.
I don’t have a preferred one, all the fights I had were fun and enjoyable.
I’m not sure I’ve seen the thirty skills, but I’ve seen a bunch of them and I liked all the combinations I had to fight.
I did my first shade on a level 64 marksman, and it was the first time I’d seen the blood effigy. Well, that destroyed me in seconds because I was unable to outrun it’s reach or kill it before dying after chugging pots. My physical resistance was not capped, but about 60%. It was a bit of a shock since I’ve never had any problems with shade on my lich…
