Trying out Shadow Rend with a bow, and in my opinion the skill really doesn’t feel good. This isn’t really about the balance, but how it feels to play. I’ve narrowed the problem down to two main issues.

Shadow Acquisition range with Betrayal of Flesh is still way too short. The distance they move is fine, but their attack range is far longer than that distance. The result is that when stutter stepping away from an enemy, at a certain point the shadows will just start launching themselves away from the enemy, and then firing their shot in the completely wrong direction. At least with a bow they should launch toward on-screen enemies without needing to be within movement range.

The arming time of the shadows feels too long, particularly for use with Shadow Massacre. Even without much attack speed I’m able to get 3 shadows out before the first one uses their multishiot. This makes Shadow Massacre just feel like a waste of mana, as there is often nothing near the shadow by the time it actually fires. Also, I don’t know why I’d even take Unending Twilight when I’m already always at shadow cap just from the shadows waiting to use their skill and vanish.
I think the skill has potential, but without QoL adjustments like these I’m just going to move on.
Edit: Forgot to mention that bow-shadows can’t use Explosive Trap with Blast Rain. Not sure if this is intended, but nothing says that’s how it’s supposed to work.
