What do yto think I should improve? I know my armor is crap.
Damage over time [DOT] type of damage, like Ignite, does a fixed amount of damage per “stack” in the enemy which is independent from most of the character stats. In this case, a Ignite stack does 40 fire damage per second during 2.5 seconds. https://www.lastepochtools.com/ailments/ignite.
There are things that modify this damage [duration, % fire damage] but the rule of dumb is that “the more ignite stacks the enemy has, the more damage you do”.
e.g.: 100% ignite means 1 stack of ignite. 200% means 2 stacks and so on. In order to scale damage using ignite we should be adding a lot of stacks to the enemies.
Notoriously though, DOT does not “hit” and therefore does not “crit”. So any enhancement on critical hits when using DOT is wasted.
In my limited experience, Ignite scales rather bad during the campaign because the necessary stats [Ignite chance, duration, elemental damage over time affix] are not available in the quantity required. Only in the endgame, you would have the tools to scale damage with the increasing enemy life pools.
If I were you, I would swap ignite as source of damage for now and I would be focusing more in “hit” damage.
Just take any “more damage”, “spell speed” or “increased damage” in the ability trees and you should be fine from damage POV.
