In a future patch sometime, wishful thinking can we have a undelete option if we delete a character maybe by stupidity or by accident? I know it’s wishful thinking, but maybe it could happen.
You gotta click delete, then type in your full character name and agree.
Stupidity is your own fault, nobody can save you from that, no matter the measures. Take it as a teaching lesson.
And if you ‘accidentally’ do this whole process then please record it accidentally as well.

Isn’t that for PoE? I know that one requires typing the character name and the other requires typing “DELETE”, but I never remember which is which. Either way, there is a confirmation.
This isn’t an accident. This is someone deleting their characters over and over again despite being told multiple times not to do that and at least keep them around.
As for the request itself, no, it’s not possible to have an undelete option. There’s a reason why there is a character slot limit. Database space is precious. So if you confirm that you want to delete, the data gets deleted from the database permanently and there’s no getting it back.
It would also become a way to just get past the character slot limit by deleting characters and then undeleting them later.
Not going to happen. Stop deleting your characters as we’ve already told you several times.

I mean… how much more could one expect? I always found the confirmation button of ‘are you sure? yes/no’ a bit iffy, so the existing solution is absolutely top.
It’s such a nonsensical ask with that in place… otherwise I could agree, leaving a character an hour in storage to undelete if actually a mistake happens, with one slot existing per account for that situation and hence impossible to bypass dataspace limits anyway… but that’s not the case in the first place.
This is literally one of the most unreasonable and annoying asks I’ve read since a while.

You apparently didn’t fully read my feedback post.. I said for a future patch maybe and there is an option as well to just simply not type your character name as well.. Its a FEEDBAC and OPINION … And no name calling..
I did read it and that’s still the same answer.
Not typing the name would be a detriment to security, not a increase in functionality.
I didn’t name-call, it was a generalization and you self-outed there just now. So that’s kinda on you.
Even feedback can be a time-waster. You provided one, a very very obvious one too.

Such a feature raises a few questions and challenges that would need to be addressed. Imo it’s unlikely to ever happen exactly because they made it “harder” to accidentally delete a character (it was not always like this, there was even a bug with menu click-through).
Here are a few points they’d need to consider:
- Archive a character instead of deleting it. Archival storage would need to be seperate from active characters for performance reasons. Undelete / restore would require to move all character data from archive to active, which is likely to be a slow and error-prone.
- Need to prevent players from by-passing the character-limit of 25.
- How many characters can be restored? All that have ever been deleted? Only the last deleted one? The last 10?
- How would a player select which characters to restore without loading it from archive? Demand to “preview” archived characters are likely to arise soon. Basically a character selection screen for archived characters?
- Prevent restoring a legacy character into season when a new season launches.
- Migrate data to match with current season upon restore? E.g. reset all skills, update item references, etc. Because they likely would have to keep the archived characters in their old state for performance reason.
- Keeping the data structure of all legacy seasons intact to be able to load from archive and then migrate?
- Prevent name-clashes upon restore. Enforce rename?
- Actual, final deletion after a time limit? When season ends?
Repeatedly deleting characters consistently over the years isn’t accidental, it’s a life choice or, in your case, a personality trait. It’s not stupidity & having to type a word/name/whatever in is the protection against accidental deletion. Sorry.
