Feedback after 1.3k hours played

about 1k of my time played was between 0.6-0.8 patch and the other 300 hours have been from 1.0 to now. I love last epoch and it is by far my favorite arpg not to complicated but still lots of depth for theory crafting different builds.

The itemization for me has been great mostly playing cof. I recently had a successful slam and got a +4 frost claw on a twisted heart, an apogee with t7 minion damage, a static shell with t7 int and t5 lightning crit multiplier. all of these and many more felt amazing. Constantly being on the lookout for uniques with lp and juiced exalts has never stopped feeling great it always feels like there’s an awesome upgrade right around the corner.

Crafting in last epoch I feel like I’ve been given so much power over my items and what i can do with them. I love the shard system (it gets really old shattering stuff for shards though). using a glyph of chaos or a rune of removal on an almost perfect item and hitting what you want feels amazing of course on the flip side feels bad when you get one or two wrong affixes on multiple items in a row. I’ve found experimental items to be a little overly complicated it’s the first mechanic in LE that I consistently have to use a website to help me make a decision on them Glyph of Insight (tunklab.com)

the factions for me the only option are cof at the moment I tried mg for a day or two and I didn’t like how everything was either 0 gold or millions and millions of gold and improving the MG Ui would go a long way for me personally. improving target farming in cof for 1.1 looks awesome. i love cof for the most part even in the current 1,0 patch

skills for me on all my chars have been superb especially comparing them all the way back to patch 0.6 my favorite ones are definitely the more flexible with lots of different damage types and a different variety of builds that are centered around them like frostclaw, fireball, smite, swipe, volatile reversal, cthonic fissure, profane veil, detonate arrow, explosive trap, warcry. while some of the ones I’ve found lacking such as sigils of hope, summon frenzy totem, transplant, teleport, spirit plague, dive bomb, devouring orb and some others remain the same no matter the build you play and function similar no matter the build and I find these somewhat boring.

The gameplay loop of last epoch has been superb for me. getting low level uniques with high lp potential to just speedrun alts threw parts of the campaign to just unlock all your passives and idol slots then you can jump right into monos and finish the campaign later with a temporal sanctum key is fabulous and I can get a char from 0-70 in what feel like no time at all. the endgame is even better I find my self everyday before I play staring at the login screen deciding which char to play. regular monos are super boring after your first playthrough basically an extension of the campaing i keep my movement speed gear on and just run through it, empowered monos are awesome endless grinding and you can make it as hard as you want corruption feels very rewarding for the most part some blessings could use a bit of a touch up/balancing some blessings are picked for almost all of my chars such as crit avoidance from reign of dragons and increased xp form fall of outcasts while there are many many blessing i cant even think of because ive never used them. the most dangerous mobs at high corruption for me haven’t been most bosses or powerful rares its been little mobs that apply dots and any small ranged adds(axe thrower, ice bolt shitheads, bloodworms) do insane amounts of damage so quick. running temporal sanctum over and over and over to slam uniques has gotten very old after a while. I just transplant my way through killing almost nothing on both floors then my wraithlord taps julra 4 times in the head she falls over I get to slam. I don’t feel there’s any reason to go the other 2 dungeons unless you need the items from them, the gambler in soulfire isnt worth the time and I never have enough gold to spend in lightless arbor because I spend all my gold on stash tabs,

balance in LE is pretty weak at the moment, while I did say I have a hard time picking which char to play which Is true, if I want to specifically just blast high corruption to farm gold, favor, uniques the meta for that right now my options are limited to frost claw rune master, wraithlord necromancer, dive bomb falconer, or blast knife marksman and a maybe a few others are waaaaaay above the rest of the many many builds in LE, specifically frost claw runemaster insane amounts of ward, Armour, and being able to stun lock bosses is craaaaazy

also it would be cool to be able to send an online char to offline. when I came back for 1.0 I assumed all my early access char were deleted so I started on online figuring I was starting over so why not try online, it would be nice to have all my chars in one place on offline, I mainly play solo anyways
