Greetings.
One of the Fateweavers (I’ve noticed this in several Trio echo runs and I honestly do not recall which one casts that) sometimes casts a large point-blank radial AOE ability (not conal, not targeted AOE) which presumably deals lightning damage (over 4k vs 117% lightning resistance at 100 corruption monolith).
I do not want to call out bullshit on the damage numbers which are ridiculously high for a 100c run. Be it your way. What I DO want to call out, however, is the fact that this Large Radial AOE Oneshot Voidzone The Size Of 2/3 Of Your Screen somehow hits right THROUGH the Profane Veil ability which should by all logic and common sense act as a viable avoidance mechanic. After all, it works properly against dozens if not hundreds other high-damage abilities. But not this one. I died to this crap three times by now and I still can’t drop the decades-old reflexes that keep telling me that “by popping this button I should be safe”, when in fact I am most assuredly NOT safe.
I suspect that this ability pierces the ‘semi-immunity’ of Profane Veil because the ability itself possibly has a tag it should NOT have. Maybe it is considered a DoT? Well, it certainly is NOT a DoT. And it definitely shouldn’t kill a Warlock hidden in an active Profane Veil.
