When using “No Man’s Land” and “Blast rain” (both explosive trap talents) together, the effect of “No Man’s Land” does not work. The amount of shot Traps is 3 for me (1 baseline +2 from “clustered explosives” i assume), which should not be the case. It should fire as many explosive arrows as the maximum amount of allowed traps (8 in my case).
If these talents are not supposed to work together, the respective info text is missing.
I’ve attached relevant screenshots showing that this is the case. I unallocated Blast Rain, used the skill, and dropped 8 traps (6 base cap + 2 from the root node in the tree) in one skill use. I then allocated Blast Rain and used the skill again, only to shoot 3 traps. The only difference between the two uses was Blast Rain being allocated or not.
I can also confirm that the maximum number of traps I can rain down with “Blast Rain” is 3. I thought at first there was maybe a maximum value, maybe only half the value applies or something but this doesn’t seem to be the case at least not as far as I can observe it! Without No Mans Land it of course makes sense but with No Mans Land it should work as written as nothing ingame says they don’t work together.
I hope this gets fixed soon because I was looking forward to raining down many explosives at once, or at the very least gets clarified better in game how it works!
To be fair, the wording on No Man’s Land is “Whenever you directly ‘throw’ Explosive Trap”, and the wording of Blast Rain is “You now ‘shoot arrows’”. So I don’t think they are supposed to work together. Would be nice if the tooltip directed stated this.
Sorry, I should have been more clear that the distinction is “directly throw” vs “shoot arrows attached with explosive traps”.
If this is indeed intentional wording, it would be helpful if they added “Traps are not considered directly thrown” or “Incompatible with Freezing Trap, No Man’s Land”.
Actually, if you could hold alt and see incompatibilities on nodes that would be very nice QoL.
