Faction choices hidden WAY to late into the game

Picking Factions is way way to late in the game, especially for people who have done the story line hundreds of times in the past and just want to get up into monos. If i can get into monos at lvl 12 and start rocking them why must i suffer through hours of boring story to finally unlock the faction choices that could have been benefiting the ENTIRE time i was playing the game already?

they changed it, you gotta play story one time and then you can instantly get your faction including waypoint on alts

That is only for your first character. Alts have a choice in the first town you have accesss to.

Supposedly this is because you don’t get that much XP until act 9 anyway and won’t have more than rank 1 or 2 when you reach it.
Also so your first playthrough is more “pure”, I guess? Where you don’t just go to the bazaar to buy stuff?

I realize you can pick it instantly with an alt after you unlocked it with one main, some of us get to 12 on a character and dont leave end times until we are 65+ as we are doing monos as that is what is fun. Trading should be much earlier than end game as a ton of uniques are extremely low lvl trash items that people at low lvls might want

you are already limited by the rank and you cash, to further limit it by forcing you through the entire thing is beyond annoying

Our first character should be interacting with the factions in the campaign. At level 10 I should be at the bazaar and selling/buying gear in MG.

Agree we should be interacting with the faction in the campaign and have them maxed out by time we complete the campaign.

That’s incorrect, you will have higher rank.

But even if you didn’t get higher rank, you can still buy rare gear, that means having up to T20 gear way earlier than you normally would.

I kinda agree with this. Though the campaign is so stupidly easy that you don’t need to be trading for better gear to make it faster.

You’re unlikely to get a key for the temporal sanctum on your first character before act 9. Unless you do monos & get that as a reward, which he could be doing since he said he was doing monos early. Or he could get a lift to thd bazaar.

That’s exactly why I replied. I tried the skip this season, I did get keys before act 9 and ran all three dungeons.

And if you’re feeling unlucky, there’s a new Weaver tree node that adds Dungeon keys as echo reward, and another node that adds Dungeon monster packs that drop keys into your echoes.
