I don’t have any logs because it doesn’t produce any errors.
I am playing Last Epoch on steam. I have the launcher set to “always offline”.
Whenever I launch the game after not playing for over an hour, when I click the “play offline” button, there is an extremely long load time before it loads the character screen. At least a few minutes. No indication from Task Manager that anything is locking up (no 100% cpu or harddrive).
If I force-quit during this delay and immediately relaunch the game, it will load into the character screen right away.
Happy to provide whatever info I can, just not sure what else to add since there’s no errors or anything in particular to screenshot.
Just timed it and it took 6 minutes and 55 seconds after clicking “play offline” for the character screen to load.
I’m playing on a dual-harddrive setup where I have the game installed on an NVME drive, but my windows is running on an SSD. So I can only assume there’s some kind of issue with the code that’s trying to retrieve the character files.
This is still happening, by the way. It’s very erratic. Sometimes even quitting the game and re-launching doesn’t prevent the delay. It’s pretty frustrating.
Still happening and getting really frustrating. Literally every time I play I have to launch the game twice. Sometimes three times. Launch, click “Play offline”, wait to see if it’s gonna load or not, then force-quit and try again.
