Like the title says, I took an Explosive Traps build all the way into end-game (using the Zeurial’s Hunt unique quiver and the ‘Blast Rain’ node) and… my traps are hitting enemies in such a very small, concentrated area in spite ‘Explosive Trap’ having an ‘Area’ tag and in spite having roughly 100% AoE increase between the Passives tree, the Skills tree, and my gear.
Unequipping/re-equipping gear with AoE increase (as much as 30%+) shows no difference in AoE increase (on a visual level) and shows no difference when hitting enemies a little bit from afar.
Furthermore, Acid Flask is also not being affected by AoE increases when turned into a ‘Trap’ from the ‘Alchemist’s Gift’ node. Acid Trap is also unaffected by AoE increases if not a Trap.
Note: The Lightning Penetration from Zeurial’s Hunt is procced by using Shurikens after allocating the node ‘Charged Steel’, which gives it a ‘Lightning’ tag.
Overall, it has been a very fun, effective build, yet the clear speed is subpar at best because my Fire Trap (turned into Static Mines that rain from the sky with ‘Blast Rain’) is not being affected by AoE increases.
P.S. Explosive Trap also needs a little buff to its general base dmg so it scales better overall, imho, after taking the build into lvl 100 Maps (so far).
