I played a lot of Grim Dawn before and one of the aspects that stuck to me were monster infrequents. For those who haven’t played Grim Dawn, they’re loot which exclusively drop from specific types of monsters or even bosses. They differ from generic loot in that come with bonuses in addition to being able to role prefixes and suffixes. These bonuses can either be generic ones like +15% attack speed or skill specific ones like -0.5s cooldown to Judgment.
I’d love to see something like that added to Last Epoch with its own twist. As an example, Ice Goliaths would have a chance to drop a two-handed mace that provides a large damage bonus if you have no general increases to attack speed or casting speed.
LE already has this with some of the bosses - certain uniques will ONLY drop from a certain boss… (Dammits online database will show it at the bottom of each unique)
Obviously its not exactly like MI from Grim dawn but its pretty much this…
Besides a lot more quantity of different uniques still to come, there are still Legendary type drops to be added to the game and its likely that they will adjust all the other tiers as they go - maybe something closer to MIs will find their way into the game…
They already have similar base items like that. A lot of items in LE have more prominent implicit bonus, just not adding bonus to specific
The skill system already covers the skill modifiers.
And I know for their philosophy is that only unique items can get special skill modifiers such as conversion or different skill functionality. So I doubt there’s the intention to add something like GD’s MI.
