Exp Tome echo reward, drop sound on pickup

As the title says, after listening to this through multiple echoes i’m now certain that when you pick up each tomb of experience, the drop sound from plays. This doesn’t seem normal, I would think that the drop sound should play when you break the crystal and the exp tomes drop, not when you pick them up. Right?
