Eterra's Blessing - Request Clarification

Within the skill node Tranquil Spirit; “When you are out of mana Eterra’s Blessing is free, but Eterra’s Blessing can no longer provide additional buffs.”

Can anyone verify the following?

Is the drawback only active while at or below 0 mana or all the time?

Does the drawback apply to all “buffs” both intrinsic and enabled through the skill tree or just the intrinsic? By extension, what qualifies as buffs?

Does this node disable other skill nodes?

Does the game count the character as having 0 mana if the bar is replaced with rage?

Thanks

Given the wording and how EHG usually codes these, I would say that it stops giving buffs all the time.

It would be all the things the skill tree gives you extra to the healing. Stuff like resistances, move speed, haste for minions, your next spell dealing extra damage, etc.
With this node, Eterra’s Blessing only heals and does nothing else. I think it will still cast thorn shield, since that’s not a buff but a proc.

What do you mean by “disable”? If you mean that when you take this node it will “grey” out the nodes that stop working, then no. No skill works that way, especially because you can have a valid node behind a node that is now useless.
If you simply mean that it will ignore what the node does, then yes.

No idea, really. I would assume not, because the affix “damage taken from mana before health” also works on rage. So having rage wouldn’t trigger this restriction. In fact, while transformed the restriction would never apply, since 0 “mana” would mean you revert back to human form.
The restriction would only apply as human.

Thanks for the response. Given how these answers trend I would love it if EHG actually labeled ALL of the related nodes as becoming useless (incompatible) within that tree upon taking that node. That way it would become more obvious how ridiculous its current design is. I mean they cant even clarify within the skill description without at least half of what you just wrote being pasted in there.

Followup comments I noted that Eterra’s Blessing doesn’t lose the buff tag even when it cant buff… and the healing over time from adjacent nodes would also not apply (all the time) because it too is a buff. :face_exhaling:

That would be because healing skills are tagged as buff, even if they do nothing else. Much like Healing Hands is also tagged as buff, even if you don’t spec into getting buffs.
