The dodge bug has kept me from enjoing the game, good to see it fixed. Keep in mind, before making new nodes and potentially bricking more stuff we need to see old nodes made competitive and balanced with 1.2/1.3.
There are greater things to focus on, also i tend to agree that the pie part was not needed. Tell us what we came to read- LE stuff, aka balance, new bosses, items, gear etc.
Also, i think i can safely say no body really cares about the segment on the visual world designer. What players want is the final shipped product of what we see. Perhaps show us what he has been working on- SHOW NOT TELL. Individual people should also not be spotlighted, it is unfair towards other employees who probably also would want the attention. Keep employees to the back, and focus on the game. Thanks
Honestly, this is not enough. You can’t say in one month you’ve fixed 4 things. There is no way I can maintain hype for this game , y’all are just too slow.
It’s a newsletter, not patch notes. I care about other things like that, seeing what kind of people are involved in making the game, it’s interesting. Don’t speak for the whole community.
And that’s the idea of a spotlight… Should they feature every single build as well from LE tools?
Well, this kind of spotlight show us how many different people work in EHG. Without it, we would only see Mike.
And there would always be a risk of some people, seeing just him, thinking he is alone in the company and makes all the decisions by himself…
I know, it would be quite a crazy conspiracy theory so it probably wouldn’t happen, but better safe than sorry, we’ve heard crazier things.
Nice to have some news! I don’t get why people overreact so much with the whole cycle (new patch) taking long time etc. I mean, you know lots of quality arpg’s out there, fully playable offline that exist? Diablo ? Path of Exile? Only Grim Dawn(with a really old engine patched to death), and not to mention how many years it took POE to be descent, Diablo 4 ? I won’t even discuss it, pay for base game, play online only, pay for expansions, play online only. Last Epoch is what? 30 bucks? You can fire it up whenever you want wherever you want and not give a(nother) dime. Jesus, reading all those flaming posts feels like these people thought they were promised something. There was a nice refund button if you did’nt like the game. Last Epoch is an amazing game, and I’m not an arpg specialist, I just enjoy killing stuff and have my screen submerged with loot, that’s what a true arpg is all about.
Yes. I’m sure it would never happen. Thinking that 2 people make all the decisions & everyone else is a mindless drone that just carries out the orders in an unthinking manner. Crazy.
No, it’s really not. If you have 1 person “making all the decisions” then they form a bottleneck that limits the size that a company can successfully grow to. At some point decisions must be delegated to lower level people, this is what successful managers do.
Yeah, most don’t, which is fair enough. Hell, I only skim the main patch notes for a big patch 'cause they tend to be long & I have better things to do.
Nice to see new nodes, skill dmg type conversions and some other good things.
But how about bug fix patches before 1.2? Unfortunately today I’ve started new character and one of the skills interactions is broken and build is not gonna work as I planned. Reported bug in-game,
This bug was found year ago and it is still in game…
I just picked up Chronicon+DLC on the Autumn Sale, played 4 hours in the first session. I believe it’s fully offline if you play single player, haven’t checked it in Airplane mode on my Steam Deck.
Some highlights: You only need 1 of each class as respecs are completely free and you can export/import builds at lv 100 (not there yet) but trying new builds out is super easy. Definitely worth the ~$15 I spent in total.
It’s been holding me over as I wait for TQ2, GD Expansion, and LE Season 2
Oh yeah, forgot that one, pretty good as well. Have it for a long time now, but its just so pixelated in the end. LE manages in mosts of the aspects of a quality arpg, example: isometric, no non-sense camera rotation and its graphics are amazing, many of the maps are really well designed. What I want is a slightly better UI though, sometimes it feels like it’s not fitting the whole scenery.
