This is the first time it’s happened, but when I launched the game and entered the world I noticed my FPS was sitting at 8 rather than my normal 50-60. I alt-tabbed and checked task manager and nothing was eating away at my resources or anything like that. When I tabbed back into the game after about 5 seconds my FPS was back to normal and holding steady, then I entered a different zone and it dropped again, I alt-tabbed once more and still nothing, so I went back to the game and again after a few seconds my FPS was back to normal ranges and steady. I’ve only had the game running for about 10 minutes but it seems that every time I enter a new zone my FPS is crashing hard and it only resolves if I tab out and back into the game. I will restart the client and see if it clears the issue or not but I thought I should report it either way as it hasn’t happened to me at all in my prior 24 logged hours of gameplay. Thanks!

Please can you post your game logs, system info and in-game settings.
Havent had an issue with LE that is related to fps drops like this in my 800h of play… Had it crash on an alt-tab but never the strange fps drop you are referring to that is resolved by Alt-tabbing…
A few suggestions:

Make sure to verify the Steam game files if you are using steam.

Double check your OS is patched and you are running a newer graphics card driver.

What is running at the same time LE is active? Consider temporarily closing and disabling anything that is running and see if there is any difference in LE… (do not use any screen overlays like steam/nvidia etc.)

Is it happening with one character or ALL characters?
