While running through the campaign on medium settings, I put my finger on a few things:
-I can see enemy attacks pretty well, which is nice!
-There’s something about the terrain vs. enemy coloring and design that makes it easy for the enemies to blend in / difficult to make out. I think it’s because there are so many fancy lighting and shadow effects, or the ground colors do not naturally contrast as well.
Appreciate the game enough to comment on things like this!
I have the problem in pretty much all games. In some it’s a nightmare. Most of the time there is an option to always show HP bars which I believe LE also has.
This issue has been around for a while now… When I first started playing around a year ago, one of the first things that bugged me was the lack of contrast between the mobs & background… The brightness option in-game can help a little but not for all situations and hp bars etc do help but for some, myself included, there are definitely situations where mobs blend away too well and some sort of mob highlighting as a toggle in settings would/might be appreciated…
hey, there is a setting feature called ‘digital vibrance’ or the like for both nvidia and amd cards in their driver settings application which helps with such issues in many games. the setting applies global (at least for nvidia).
here is how it looks for nvidia:
Interesting setting… Changes the colour hues, saturation, brightness & contrast ALL at the same time … Not a perfect solution but it does emphasise things more… if you are willing to accept the change in hue…
I tried this and it was like going to the eye doctor. Which setting gets the vision just right? I think I found a setting that did improve the clarity issue a little bit without screwing up the intended color palettes. I guess this is like gamma vs. no gamma these days. Makes me wonder how many other people are running around with this issue.
also don’t forget that most monitors have different presets you can cycle through to get diffrent emphasises on saturauion/hue. I raise the digital vibrance ones and then just use the diffrent monitor presets for diffrent games/ use cases e.g.:
gamemode with high color saturation in combination with the set digital vibrance for best visual distingushability for CSGO
landscape mode which emphasises more on dynamic range to make it look prettier (digital vibrance here also adds to this and improves clarity and color) for most other games.
I know exactly what u mean it took me some time to used to it and understand where enemies are unyil that point i used health bar to indentify their location which bytw i never use in any game it kills imersion for me
