I can’t help but feel like endurance makes most sense for sentinel or other tanky masteries. I think it should be incorporated into those classes similar to how ward generation and retention are in acolyte/mage trees.
I don’t mean to suggest that other classes couldn’t use or build endurance, just that it makes sense for it to be more accessible via tree or skills for innately tanky characters, and less accessible for say a rogue.
I think the new hideskin node on druid is a great approach. I would love to see more options to choose endurance within trees of melee builds that have to eat more damage and see other protections like dodge or ward incorporated more into the class identity of those squishier classes.
I think primalist being the only class that has acces to it is very fitting.
I personally don’t know how well endurance fits Sentinel. Thematically it’s more the type of “berserk/will to fight till the end” kinda style, which definitely fits primalist the best.
I personally think Lich shuld also get some very minor acces to either endurance or endurance threshold within it’s passive tree. Lich is draining himself to become more deadly and having this “close to death” approach, would also make endurance fit very well IMO.
Those are two very different things. The first doesn’t care about defence & just goes straight for the jugular regardless of how much damage they take, the second just keeps on plugging away through the damage they take.
If I saw a berserk buff, I’d expect it to buff my offence & debuff my defence so I can do more damage at the cost of taking more damage. While a “will to fight to the end” buff, I’d expect to buff my defence.
