Endless Pyramid

Hiya, so this is a terrible rip off idea with a different name of the poe delve which I love as it’s just something really different, never ending and you can pick up progress whenever you want. Your build was spec’d different to maps as well which was fun and crafting items etc were also different.

I was thinking a pyramid to kinda go with the theme, ideally wouldn’t need something to light the area haha but I mean you already have the embers from lightless dungeon and the mobs in the dark so it’s not really a stretch. Basically you enter the area the same as delve and then just grind your way down through endless mobs that keep scaling harder and harder the further down the pyramid you go.

Obviously it’s an optional area and optional content so if you don’t want to play it you don’t have to but it just adds another extra bit to end game for people who don’t want to run the same echo maps over and over.

Loved delve, would love this, hope you consider and if you do put your own spin on it LE style. :slight_smile:

Monoliths are already kind of a mix between maps and delve. A pure delve mechanic doesn’t seem different enough to what already exists.

Delve isn’t actually never ending. It has a limit of 65535. There have been many players which reached the “end” through the years.
I imagine corruption has the same limit.

I recall ShitstainSteve reaching the end not long ago, other than him I know of no one. I think for 99.9% of the general player base it will be never ending or feel like it, getting into the thousands was always a nice achievement for me and the guild mates, achievement and struggle since it got pretty freaking hard.

Chadilao hit 20k then called it quits with corruption this season not sure of limit for it, I’ve been to 4ish personally don’t have the uh, ambition? To go much higher, heh even if I could run 20 I dont think I’d try lol

They could add a limit to the “Feels like never ending pyramid” as a goal then I guess, either way the change of scenary was a refreshing feel from tiered maps for sure. They also have a few other things but I mean the games got ten plus years of adding content over LE so makes sense it would.

Still huge +1 for this kind of edition for end game :slight_smile:

I think it took like 3 or 4 leagues until they managed it?

Anyway, even though I don’t like delve, I’m not opposed to this. It just feels like monoliths are already very delve-like and this isn’t really too different from that? Maybe it should have some other features that distinguish it?

Lol classic , I was probably skipping seasons where people finished it, on/off for 10+ years had to take breathers lol

Definitely open to any/all ideas on how to make it different I liked in delve that you needed quite a different build and stuff due to the monsters in there and you needed to stack the special resistances just made it feel different, oh and different looking mobs (kinda). Maybe specific items that can only be used within the area might be kinda fun so mixing and matching gears. I think it would need to be something as an idea they agree on but then might take a while to work on if it was to have its own spin and points of difference from echoes.

I remember they had their own bosses as well which was cool and they dropped delve only items the bosses in their mechanics wise could have done with some more fun work but that would be cool for sure a bunch of unique random spawn bosses on various levels. Much like real life it would be a cave I went into and didn’t want to leave :smiley:
