Can we get passive trees for endgame modes after level 100?
Like a monolith tree that let us increase mob densety, change rewards like removing XP tomes if we don’t want them anymore and stuff like this. Just with a passive tree where you are able to invest more and more points in for benefits that increase the enemies dmg and HP by X% as a tradeoff for the skillable benefits?
Or a dungeon tree that let us open barricades in temporal, add more drop chance to the useless mobs, buff the dungeon bosses even more for better loot all again with the downside that invested points increase the mob dmg and HP and stuff like that.
An arena tree with the good old tower defence option to spawn all waves at once because wo wants to grin arena for 500 stages untill it gets intresting? Spawning more shrines, reduce the ammount of mobs or whatever again with the tradeoff of increased mob dmg and HP.
All of this could happen after level 100 and every 1/3 of a “level” you get one point in each endgame mode to throw at the according tree to improve the game mode into whatever you think is fun. Arena in case of the ladder should have an option to remove the passives for the ladder.
I think you EHG devs are very smart people who played a lot of games and this kind of “late endgame progression” outside of corruption might be fun and enable people to add intresting things and shape their game experience in a way they want. Just some mix of Paragon+Atlas tree shenanigan so to speak.
I just think it’s so sad to not be able to put points into something after hitting lvl 100 and I think endgame mode skilltree to shape the stuff in a way players want to is a nice thing to have. On top of it it could have some options for cycles down the road in them as well so people can tweak their cycle experience a bit as well.
TL:DR: something to skill after lvl 100 that feels worthwhile and let me shape my gaming experince in little reasonable ways.
Personally i think that is a great idea. If you dont want more exp books cause you have 100 lvl that would be great to remove it, same goes for etc. rares, exalted spears, glyphs, runes or whatever
Maybe possibility could end up even as a reward of finishing some kind of a new dungeon which EHG just announced or a particular vessel to destroy in echoe timeline or just a random npc. Dont know, but i like the angle
What I would like however would be something very akin to the Lenses that Circle of Fortunes offers.
Like some kind of slots that are on a individual timeline basis. Like every timeline has 1-5 slots that unlock when you push corruption enough. E.g. 50, 100, 200, 300, 500 corruption.
These slots would work very similar to lenses, where they increase the chance for specific rewards, block certain rewards or maybe soem special ones enabled special echoes, that are not available otherwise.
While being very similar to the CoF Lense system, this system obviously should be avaialble to Merchant Guild as well and not be a faction thing.
Lenses are sooooo awesome and I love them dearly. More lens slots instead of a passive tree would be something nice as well! I myself would like to be able to spend some points because it feels nice to spend points that make something directly.
However this system will work out I only hope it’s in the ways of EHG to offer multiple trees/systems for whatever mode instead of one giant tree you need a third party tool to navigate it.
On top of it I would love it if it interacts with cycle mechanics. If we had a “Jailbreake” cycle for example where players meet more jailed mages while able to to put points in a tree to meet some that already run free and ambush the player or are stronger and broke their shakles. That’s just a small scale blunt example but manipulating cycle mechanics a little bit would be awesome.
Let’s look at the last D4 season. I would never touch it because I don’t want that lame ass pet running arround and doing more messed up stuff then good on top of beeing a pet. If there was an option to make the pet passive and carry it arround piggyback as a passive bonus I would’ve been a happy camper kind of van helsing style where you choose how your companion works.
Stuff like that would be awesome but in a meaningfull and good to develop and useable way.
But thx for your input so far I appreciate it and maybe more people want to speak up because I think some people like different options of progression to toy arround with that are not overwhelming.
