Empowered Campaign (after unlocking emp monos)

Hey guys, it just hit me, not sure if someone mentioned it already or not, but please in 1.2/1.3 or future allow for Empowered Campaign with Campaign missions - it would fit so well with the theme and would be a great way to get immersed in the campaign. I know it’s similar to what monoliths are doing, but what I’m referring to is basically changing everything up from Normal to Nightmare mode after unlocking Empowered Monoliths.
Right now everyone just files through it to get to monoliths (and then empowered monos), but what about having a mode where the campaign is more than just a fly through zone and provides with even a bigger challenge for your built out character - with correct rewards of course.

Yeah. Story boss specific items / blessings that only drop on that empowered difficulty.

They once had a system planned where you could visit story parts as an endgame system. It got cancelled some time ago along the road. But it doesn’t mean it couldn’t come back as part of a new cycle / expansion.

Hey that’s not a bad idea actually. Destiny does this, they have a legendary campaign option with increased rewards. Would be a cool additional end game layer. My only issue with that idea is that then you have to kill bosses like Lagon 3 separate times.

If the monoliths were revamped to have only non story bosses I think it would make more sense, or if you could do optional side content similar to dungeons, like a mostly randomly generated legendary side quest that spans like 5-10 zones and has its own end game boss that brings you back to a campaign area.

I am all for adding as many end game options and layers and game modes and depth as possible. This is what makes games replayable
