I found out that I had max elemental resistances one day without having any of it at all. So I tried some things and ended up with this:

By closing my inventory, walking a bit and doing the same thing again, I end up with this

Sounds like you’ve put points in the Elemental Arrows & Siege Quiver passives which will give you 72% ele resist with 6 Elemental Arrows.
Yup… my bad… didn’t think of that one. Though it doesn’t refresh in the character sheet unless you switch equipment pieces
