EHG shouldnt have delayed their release, POE2 sucks hard now

as title says, POE 2 failed their new release, its unplayable bugged slog!

Looking forward for April 17

Hard agree, and as someone who likes challenging games, POE2 in its current state doesn’t feel ‘fun’ to me.

even their loyal streamers hate this poe2 patch.

0.1 Campaign feeling? Great!
0.2 Campain feeling? Dog-shit.

0.1 End-game feeling? Boring.
0.2 End-game feeling? ‘Ok’ actually!

GGG screwed up early game and improved late game.

EHG could’ve released at the same date and it would’ve been fine.
It’s darn good they didn’t though, since hindsight is always 10/10 and it was a massive ridiculously dangerous move nonetheless.

Sure, you need to take risks… but you don’t plunge into a suicide drop and simply hope to nonetheless survive out of sheer luck :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess your hindsight isn’t that great, since the saying is hindsight is always 20/20.
20/20 is normal vision. 10/10 I would assume is being half-blind.

They 100% should of delayed the release. Everyone wants to play the new update and they had 238k players on a friday. LE’s numbers would of hit a nose dive. Ontop of that every streamer would jump to play PoE 2 which means LE’s marketing is gone.

PoE 2 likely will have over 350-400k players today. It would of crushed LE’s season.

I just logged off PoE 2 because I got that work thing but gonna play again when I get off already 10 hours in. I do think PoE 2 has an identity crisis. I keep telling players it’s a Souls like game (which it is) and they disagree. PoE 2 is supposed to be a No Rest for the Wicked type game. Much slower engaging, combo skills used on white mobs gameplay.

After GGG’s debacle of this recent update, EHG should really capitalize on this, because it just doesn’t look like POE 2 will be fully ready until at least the end of the year, they still have so many weapon types not in the game yet. It’s been a over a year since LE was officially launched and I really hope they polish the next Cycle along with added Qol improvement.

20/200 is the line for legally blind, 20/15 is better than average, 10/10 is just weird but would be the same thing as 20/20… top number is the test distance, bottom number is what details you can see at that distance (smaller is better)

This is a good time for a Mortal Kombat FINISH HIM™ combo

Release season 2 next week before they fix the game. In 2 weeks everyone will be happy.

I’ve avoided the early access for the game but have kept up with Jon Rogers statements and interviews. Almost nothing he says sounds fun to me and it looks like 0.2 is just moving more into the ruthless direction. Also, 0.1 endgame looked terrible and long (mandatory) campaigns are not a plus to me.

I don’t think GGG can or will fix what’s needed by the 17th and so LE should get some more players for 2.0. Let’s hope EHG hits it out of the park.

So it’s not the same because it’s not testing properly what your eyesight is from afar. That’s like saying that 1/1 is the same and you have perfect eyesight because you can read everything, even if you’re miopic.

And yes, the first 20 is the distance, which is why you say 20/20 in the US (20 feet) and 6/6 in Europe (6 meters). And they’re all just standards of “normal” vision, not perfect one.

But I was just ribbing on Kulze for improperly using an expression

I was just coming here to say the same thing

A missed opportunity to run over PoE like a steamroller

Why did EHG listen to the “content creators” and delay the release of Last Epoch?

Now we have to wait till the 17th to enjoy a game

To be fair, my sight’s never been the best, 10/10 will have to suffice! :stuck_out_tongue:

I just dont care.

How am i supposed to “enjoy” the late game maps, when entire campaign feels like Rogers defecated to your face.

Not playing that crap, its not fun.

I agree. And this is exactly why i quit playing poe2. Haven’t touched it since the first week poe 2 dropped. crafting is another reason. Its nothing more than a different way of pulling the lever on a slot machine. Killing mobs does the exact same thing thier crafting does. Thats just how it feels for me.

Imo diablo likes poe likes whatever the hell ya call it now lol. Shouldnt try being souls like games. If i want to play a souls game ill go play one. This genre isnt ment to be a souls like

To be fair, that is how genres get created. There were probably players that complained about D1 and D2 being hack and slash and that the RPG genre isn’t supposed to hack and slash.
Even souls-like as a genre came from picking up an existing genre and adding a unique spin to it.

I don’t see a problem with them creating a souls hack & slash RPG. It’s just one more option for players. Those that don’t like, like me or you, it can just not play it. But others will like it and play it.
After all, even with all the issues, PoE2 still has 230k people playing it. So there are people that like it.

Very true. Heck thats how diablo back in the 90s and 2000s started the genre we love playing. And now theres so many games even solo made game like it lurks below chronicon to name a couple

People like poe2 oh definitely. But hey not every game will be for everyone and thats fine.

Absolutely agree, hence a negative review from me there. They simply missed the goal.

No Rest for the Wicked is the combination between diablo-likes and soul-likes. Does a splendid job.

PoE 2… is not meant to be one, and doesn’t do a good job at it currently :stuck_out_tongue:

Because they aren’t greedy arsehats that treat gaming like a zero sum game?

Why do you say that?

Can hardly have souls-like style when 10+ enemies run at you… makes tactical positioning and slow-paced combat kinda hard to do… especially when moving 2 steps brings in another 10 enemy sized group :stuck_out_tongue:
