How good is Efficacious Toxins? I assume it works like a “more multiplier” to your DoT on an enemy. More specifically, is it worth taking 4 points in puncture for a Bleed Marksman?
It seems quite rare to find, I can only really find it in Acolyte and Rogue, and very rarely. Is this because it is an amazing “hidden” gem or because it is an old, swept under the rug, trash debuff?
Just reading it description on LETools, i would not care for it:
it says “increased”, not “more”, so +12% increased is little when any build will have hundreds of increased damage anyway. like with it you will get 712% increased instead of your 700% increased damage
it doesn’t stack, so it’s just that one +12%
I’ve never played with it, so maybe there is some merit to it, but i can’t see right now.
hm yeah. Even though it says increased, I kind of just assumed it would act as a multiplier, otherwise it would be completely and utterly worthless.
Maybe im just giving it way more credit than it deserves, Unfortunately, this post is to help my Dad with a rogue build and I dont actually have any rogues levelled enough to test it.
It should be the same effect as % Increased Damage over Time on items, like Apohawk said. If it was a more multiplier, it should say % more, like Decrepify does.
It would effectively be a more multiplier only if you had 0% increased damage, in this case (Bleed build) you would need to have 0% increased physical and 0% increased damage over time. Extremely unlikely.
No, because that’s increased damage dealt not increased damage taken. They are two different multipliers hence if you only have 1 modifier available it is effectively a more modifier as I said.
If you have 100 flat damage (without any % modifiers) and you then get a +25% increased damage modifier, how much damage do you do? And how, when that singular +25% modifier is the only one involved, does that differ from a +25% more modifier?
No, because those modifiers you mention are % increased damage dealt, not % increased damage taken. Why do you think Volatile Reversal is so powerful?
