I just killed an empowerd echo boss and got killed at the same time.
I was respawned at echo again and could collect my items.
The text shows up please open portal, but the green button for the portal was missing.
I teleported by map and I was able to complete the boss a second time and got the loot again.
This seems to be broken and you could easily get the loot
