Originally, weren’t you required to complete all three level-90 timelines to unlock Empowered Monoliths? I did that on one of my characters, fought a Harbinger after Gaspar and won; all that good stuff. But now I’m on an alt, and a Harbinger appeared at the end of Spirits of Fire when I haven’t done The Last Ruin or The Age of Winter on this character.
I have now unlocked Empowered Monos on said character, even for the aforementioned timelines I haven’t done yet. It feels off to me, like I skipped a step (or two, actually). I don’t know if this is a bug or if I just failed to understand the new way Empowered Monos and/or the Forgotten Knights faction are handled; hence the thread’s placement in General shrugs
On alts, if you complete a normal mono for a timeline you haven’t completed, it immediately gives you an harbinger and unlocks empowered as well, as long as you already started the harbingers “questline”.
Which means that you can actually do all 3 at the top at level 90 if you always do it on alts.
Once you have all 3 harbingers at the top, I don’t know if the same thing continues to happen. I also don’t know if it’s intended or if it will get changed.
Oh okay, thanks for the explanation. It doesn’t seem intended, but what do I know Guess I’ll take my reward and move on, then…not that I think my Fire Flask Falconer is up to snuff for Empowered yet lol
Not quite exactly this… It’s only when you clear one of the level 90 Timelines. You still have to do all lower level normal Timelines required to unlock the lvl 90s before the Harbinger spawns.
Only real difference is you don’t need to do all 3 level 90 timelines on alts, and you get to choose which first harbirger you will fight.
Also not quite correct. All you need to do is reach and complete one of the 90 timelines and to finish the Harbinger. So completing either only the left or right side suffices.
I seem to remember something on the patch notes about only needing one of the top 3 to unlock empowered monos on alts, so the system itself seems intentional.
I just don’t know if it was intentional that you can do the initial quest on the top 3 at level 90, since the second step of the quest says to do a 100c harby and the next says to do a 125c harby, but both steps get completed at level 90.
Yes, that is what I meant. I didn’t notice I worded it that way. But I did say next that
So I think the point got across. Still, thanks for the correction
