Dread Shade Won't Target Properly When Entering monolilth

When I enter a monolilth with 2 wraiths and a skeleton mage and try to cast dread shade, initially it won’t cast until I move or some time passes. Then, when it does cast, even if I target a wraith the shade will only apply to the mage. This will persist for several seconds until finally I can cast dread shade onto a wraith and it will work properly for the remainder of the monolilth.

Having same issue. Really annoying. I would love if we could chose auto cast on minion of our choice to…

It is not only when entering monolith. Both the shade skills are broken when it comes to targeting which is a huge problem if you want to use those skills.

Also when they work the gameplay is bad (having to stop to be certain to get the right one) when you have to target minions in combat or while moving etc. A simple thing like hover of the portrait and cast would target the minion or if multiple one of that type would also make the gameplay nice. Now it is just not fun or engagin, just choppy.

Having the same issue, spell does not apply on the minion when casted.
As far as I can tell, even infernal shade behaves the same way if it’s the first spell cast when entering monolith.
Dread shade is more annoying because it’s wasted and I have to wait for the CD in order to cast it again.

I experience the same, even with one Skeletal Mage when entering the monolith, the first cast of shade never works, I have to cast it again (after the cool-down) so in boss scenario it’s especially bothersome.

I have the same issue, first cast never works.

I play 1 skeletal mage and sometimes when I cast DreadShade it feels like it was cast in an invisible minion because the icon above the head is way offset, this only happen if the minion has Infernal Shade.

Same here - makes it really tedious entering an echo having to wait the 18 sec cooldown to try again. Please fix!

Seems like the targeting and other issues have been around for years… I’ve zoned into a monolith and cast 3 times without moving and it just doesn’t apply at all. Then after moving you still have to wait some arbitrary time for it to actually work when casting.

I do hope they come up with a solution though. Having a minion targeted with their name at the top of the screen, then casting and seeing it hit some other minion is just awful. Then you sit around for 20 seconds waiting and praying it gets cast on the correct minion.
