Drain Life and Wandering Spirits self-applying Damned

When in combat Drain Life and Wandering Spirits currently seem to be applying Damned to the player.

※I originally thought Stygian Coal was the issue, but it occurs even with it unequipped

I tested on the target dummies and Damned is not self-applied from Drain Life or Wandering Spirits. ※Also checked the tagged as enemy dummy, but forgot to clip
