Dragon fire vfx

Please revert Dragon fire as it looked before 1.2.4 it really doest feel or look impactful its really bad to the point I cant play my build anymore. What were u thinking it has 0 impact when hiting enemies while old VFX was really good and impactfull

I can’t agree more. after they changed VFX, i really don’t want to play this build anymore. changed VFX is really REALLY bad. i really surprised they really changed to best to worse fire VFX in this game.

Hard agree. While admittedly, it does look more like ā€œdragonfireā€ now; they’ve quite literally gone from the best fire VFX in the game, to the one of the worst. I can’t imagine anyone complained about the old one, it was practically perfect.

Granted I’ve only given it a quick try after seeing this thread, but I kinda like it? It looks more flame-y to me & less ā€œthis is a proc in a gameā€, though I could imagine that the edges of the AoE could be less clear in the current version.

I understand some of the potential motivations. For example, the fire Shade of Orobyss has what looks like an identical animation to the old Dragonfire; and like I also said, the new one is more fitting of the name/design.

But it’s less about how fitting it looks and more about the impact and visual pleasure. The new one is reminiscent the in-game phoenix flames, which isn’t exactly a fan-favorite. I completely understand what OP is getting at. The new one is ā€œfineā€, but when compared to the old, especially if you’ve played it, it looks and feels lame.

I would also like for Dragonfire to be reverted as the OP stated. Don’t forget to upvote this post.
