Define “buff”…
Im not a dev, this info is for the devs so they can make their own choices. if they are ok with us beating the game naked, its all good.
I have no idea how to change it, all i know its it was too easy, so i let them know.
Im just a player who plays.
I am just saying for the top 1% that usually push 400 to 500+ arena I can not do that and arena is harder. that is the top 1%. I am more about the middle of the road and can still do as stated in the monolith.
that is why i am saying I am not the best player and it can still be not challenging to a decent player
A swift solution would be - adding few adds. Some who shoots and melee. And BOOM, fight just became 100 times harder and has a certain gear check.
This is not true. You can just kill those adds very quickly with any decent skill tree and skill.
The boss has adds already that are made of paper
Devs could make them tough enough so that you can’t kill them so easy. The specific numbers not the case.
There are limitations to boss fights in ARPG games. In Marvel Heroes, the hardest content was based on dodging high damage boss skills, hiding behind obstructions based on line of sight or rotating between targets based on stacking buffs/debuffs. In summary, it was knowledge and reflex based.
For a new game, it is going to be tough to stack the game with complex boss fights right from the get go. The game developers are still getting their sea legs under them and the player base is undergeared or relatively inexperienced in the class mechanics.
In the interim, they could increase cool downs on movement skills and force you to weave in and out of the fight depending on when the AOE attacks are coming. But, beyond that I don’t know how you could make a boss ‘player proof’ in an ARPG. Certain WoW bosses required farming certain items or certain resistances to succeed, but that tends to just wear you down during the farming process, rather than excite you when you finally overcome the boss.
Adds could be invulnerable near boss, so you need to lure them out, or smth. It could be done. The point is that, at the moment existing mechanics are way too easy to avoid. That what makes fight trivial.
Maybe I’m just “getting my head turned by numbers” (like that 150k ward thread). I’ve not seen any of these boss fights since I’ve been afk since shortly after 0.7.9 was released (and I have a job so I can’t play in the day & wife/kids so I don’t get to play much in the evening).
But from my point of view, you’re selling yourself short. If it were that easy where are the hordes of other “above average” players complaining that it’s too easy? You should have seen the bug forum every man and his dog was posting new threads about fire skill graphics being ****ed, you’d think none if them had heard of a search function.
Maybe you’re just much better at managing bosses rather than hordes of mobs in arena? Doesnt mean you’re not “1%”…
As I’ve said, I’ve not seen the fights so I don’t know what they’re like, but the devs do have an awful lot of external source material for challenging boss fights that they can draw inspiration from. They wont get it right first time and will need to iterate on the balance somewhat. But I think we can all agree that staves, boots and belts are too dangerously op and need to be nerfed into the bedrock.
honestly I dont like the implicit message here, bosses in LE are NOT easy, you can just do that because you have good mobility and still very good dps due to level 100 and passive.
Also lich form and leech allow you to avoid the rest…that not the case for the vast majority of build.
i.e with my necro full pet black sun at level 87 was not an easy fight and I die twice because lack of mobility with huge area that I just cannot avoid.
So the message hey I did that so nerf class or buff boss is nothing positive
Lich can ignore all empowered bosses too.
The pally I did it on has hardly any dps. He is just beefyand under geared. Inwill have a build vieoout tomorrow about it. Bc my internet sucks lol. But is isn’t just that haha. Any build can do this. Sonit is not the builds.
I know well this build that is super effective IF u have the minion damage reflected super rare on chest and head that I hunt with no luck since some time (and that got nerfed yesterday btw)
Yeah, the vid is after nerf! Before it one shoted the boss haha
The skeleton version runs with idols alone and it dosnt need good gear, its equally strong, just less ward and a bit slower! (reflect really op)
hum I think there is a big difference Vs idol that is reflect only for skele (archer and mage) and affix that is reflect TO ATTACKER for all minion. so wraiths benefit of it.
I have full idol atm and that not great
Its a bit off topic, but the skelleton version managed to push 350 in arena last patch, while wraith only 200.
The reason is that is really fast to rebuild all the skeletons when they die to a big hit or dots, but it takes around 20 seconds to rebuild a 70 wraith army, so the skelleton player was able to push way higher!
I will do my maximum to develop my best necro full pet as much as possible so far 87, progressing into the monolith, let see how it goes!
Gl man!
