DPS Tracking/Testing/Meter/Display

It would be very nice for build testing to be able to see a running DPS number (as in real-time DPS output).

Perhaps training dummies could be modified in 2 ways.

  1. When attacking a training dummy, the actual, real-time dps shows on the screen somehow, that way we don’t have to try to miraculously add numbers flashing across the screen to see if a weapon/equipment or idol change is making a positive difference. This is especially helpful to see if improved crit chance helps a build’s DPS output compared to something like inc spell dmg or fire dmg etc. Maybe it could calculate an average DPS of the previous 3-5 seconds and then display that number every second somewhere other than right over the dummy where all the other numbers are flying (so there aren’t too many new numbers flashing on the screen)

  2. Have the ability to have either 1 or many training dummies in an area. This way, dps can be tested in a single target situation as well as in density. Maybe there could be a room/area that has 10-20 dummies all clustered together and a lone dummy on the other side of the room. Even better, maybe give us the ability to place dummies in whatever configuration or quantity so we can test different attacks, patterns, AOE effects etc.

Thank you!
p.s. this game is amazing

They also need to be set as opponents so things like Devouring Orb will target them. Would make life easier.

And no, this is not the first time this has been suggested…

Yeah I already said that we need a dedicated dummy zone for single target, aoe targets, targets with certain HP thresholds, dummys that hit back so we see if everything proccs as intended and so on and so forth. On top of that a target dummy with 10 mio HP (or whatever) that is destroyable should offer enough of a DPS measurement because you can divide the HP by the time needed to get your numbers.
