DPS Meter sugestion

Currently is very hard to see individual numbers on very fast attack character, and dps calculator is very inaucurate i dont think i need to say what is wrong with i think most of people already know.
My suggestion would be for all of the damage numbers when u are testing your damage to be transfered in seperate sheet where sample will be lets say 100 records and based on that record programm will do the rest and it will calculate min, max damage, median and mod, as well percentage for how long from 100 hits this damage stays above average in certain percentage and what that percentage is compared to max damage, it will calculate crit chance accurately as well and tell u what how many times have u crit feom those 100. Basicaly It doesnt need to be 100 hits i sayed that couse of accuracy in calculation which is on higher number not so dependant on luck basicaly it can be any number. Which u choose for the sample size. I am no programmer so I will ask if someone is how hard would it be to do something like this in current engine and what do u think of idea does anyone have any better untill we get proper dps. But irelevantly even if we get proper dps meter something like this i would find very useful as a tool for dicission i gearing.

Edited: even if damage is not displayed properly at this moment i do not think it would matter

Quite a few conversations have been had about this and one thing I will say about the forums is that they have a really good contextual search engine. Try this.

The information you’re looking for can be surfaced in ways that are much less poisonous to the game and community than DPS meters.

There is a fine line between giving players enough information to compare, theorize, and push their characters’ power, and making players feel compelled to do so, and including a DPS meter crosses that line, IMO. Past responses from EHG seem to indicate they understand this, and I hope they continue to do so.

What do u find so poisonus about it i dont understand.

When it gets to the point that groups refuse to accept people with build X that can’t do DPS Y regardless of the player skill.

I’m also pleased EHG realise the problem with DPS meters. My friend and I just left Swords of Legends online, in which we were Beta players, just exactly because of the toxic community requiring certain dps figures and gear score to get into groups/raids. It not only cut out those of us who like to enjoy the game and enjoy the challenges of raiding etc. without worrying about who can do what and what they’re wearing/class they’re playing… but newcomers also. People have left in droves.

Ok bow i understand what this guys are talking about thanks to Lama. I have to say i do not play online and i dint have something like that in mind to use it in that sort of way i just want to min max my builds and i play offline only when multiplayer comes out. POE was the only online game i played since i wasnt able to move myself from it when i tryed it and that was the only game. I am spendin half of year at sea and i do not care for such bad uses of such an engine but i as qell understand your point why u do not want it
