Im fairly new player so maybe im missing few other interaction as why there was need to nerf both things at once but. Making roots cast on roar inherit base roots mana cost is already huge nerf but on top of that there was nerf that changed mana efficency from 300% to 200% nerfing it even more.
Single roar with roots node cost me like 24 mana now which is insane.
In short i believe it was really strong before but was nerfed too much.
I was thinking about how it could be changed. Leave the 300->200% efficiency nerf but revert inheriting mana cost. Make it flat +10 mana cost for roar but make that 10 mana not scalable with mana efficiency. That would put it at around 15-16 mana per cast from like 24.
The devs also nerfed Mana regen from 10 base to 8 base - this may also be factor in the problem as you are obviously not regenning as fast as you were before too… Although the change to be able to get a regen affix on a belt/ammy is supposed to negate that nerf… Have not had the opporunity to try it out myself yet tho…
Yeah, it’s kinda sad. A double nerf in 1 patch is not the way to go i think. It just forced me out of entangle and roar entirely. I already respec it to minion cast speed, while trying to figure out which skill to go to replace it. Sad really, at least i know 1 other build that need to spec out entangle, EQ bear for example, need to spec out their stun on bear charge which cost +10/15 mana (can’t remember which out of my head) so they can be mana efficient.
I’m a new player, still at lvl 65 and Druid is my first char, I was almost unlocking the Roots node on Werebear form, didnt even get a chance to try it, to be honest don’t even know if I will keep playing this game now or just go try POE, because all the Druid builds that I saw used roots, so Its quite disappointing.
