Does Introspection work with Blossoming Garden?

I am theory crafting a build, and was wondering if anyone knew the interaction between the following:

Introspection (Spriggan Form Skill Tree): Thorn Shield can now only target you and can no longer attach to other allies.

AND

Blossoming Garden (8 Point Bonus in Druid Passive Tree): When you directly use a spell or movement skill you cast Eterra’s Blessing on a nearby minion or other ally. Prioritises party members on low health (12 second cooldown).

After Thorn Shield is cast, would Blossoming Garden’s 8 point bonus cast Eterra’s Blessing on one of my companions, or would it not work due to Introspection?
