I’ve tried corrupting 10 set catalyst in a row and all 10 of them failed converting the item to something else. Is this just bugged?! Can you not corrupt set items?
All I want to do is corrupt the Catalyst keeping it exactly the same but adding a corrupted affix. However this doesn’t work.
If it’s intended to always convert the set to something else then I can’t see a reason to ever corrupt a set item. This has to be very bugged. A lot of values on corrupting don’t seem to be working as intended at all.
Corruption right now feels very bad and don’t want to attempt it any further when the results are always negative. Overall corrupted probably 25 items so far this season of all types, all of them negative.
PS - Why is “Ruined” even a thing? The item is ruined when it’s changed to something negative.
I’ve have the exact opposite experience with corrupting set items. Corrupting the new Doppleganger set has become my new item chase this season. If your build only cares about certain stats from a set and isn’t to particular on the base you need set corruption pumps out some really juiced exalted items.
Yes I need all the stats from the set, the base and some of the special affixes. I just want to add a corruption affix on top of that. I can’t imagine that it’s intended to always convert a set ruining it.
Yea I’ve not had a positive experience corrupting anything. I’d say it’s 99% negative. Best result I had was corrupting a legendary I didn’t care about and got a T2 corrupted mod that wasn’t terrible.
So far I’ve just ruined every good item I have and makes me not want to play honestly. Feels like an infinitely worse gamble than PoE 2 corruption.
Guess good for you. So far corruption feels like it’s about to chase me out of this season. Feels like anti-progression.
It seems like the values are horribly off on corruption and this system is half cooked.
I want to engage in the new system but probably won’t if there aren’t some balance or bug changes. Why would I do something when I know it’s going to fail 99% of the time.
I’m not even trying to chase the right corrupted mod, it’s just bricked every time.
