Dodge chance formula

Hello gamers,
I recently plugged in the formula below into excel to calculate my character’s dodge chance.
{isplaystyle DodgeChance={(1-{rac {1}{{rac {0.1x+0.001x^{2}}{10+0.5a+0.05a^{2}}}+1}})}*0.8}
this is from this wiki: Dodge - Official Last Epoch Wiki

The results are wildly different from what I am reading on the character sheet in-game, which clearly adapts to the area level the character is in.
Standing with 395 dodge rating in the ancient cavern (level 8 area) the character sheet shows a dodge rating of 37% (compared to 16% in the end of time, level 74). Using the formula above, the dodge chance in a level 8 area with 395 dodge rating should be 72%.
So I am wondering, did the formula change or is the character sheet displaying something different?

without looking, i can tell you that the wiki is probably very out of date. i would not rely on it for most things, honestly. tunklab and LEtools are far more reliable and kept up to date as the game changes. i know some people are still trying to update that wiki and there is a more active one at neoseeker but i prefer the database style to the wiki style.

here is tunk’s latest dodge formula page that should give you accurate numbers: Dodge Chance

It’s very likely that wiki is out-of-date. The in-game Game Guide will have the latest version of the dodge formula, which should be this (at this moment in time):

https://imgur.com/5fPvlwu

Where “a” is the zone’s area level and “x” is Dodge Rating.

And if you do the math with that formula it’s 0.20426104 + 0.163655 = 0.367916475 or 37% with your example of 395 dodge rating and an area level of 8.

As mentioned already, Tunk keeps his community website up-to-date and has a dodge chance calculator people can use.

Oh wow I feel a bit silly now, didn’t expect the formula to be in the in-game guide. Thanks a bunch!

Behold, the most Dodge I could come up with on a build that really isn’t a build, just an experiment to test Dodge Max.

Note: actual dodge is nearly 1400 higher due to conditions that the Tool doesn’t factor in.

Edited prev post with “full” build… :slight_smile:
