Currently manifest compared to other minions is like you have a pet hamster and the guy you’re fighting has a bear or giant undead monster named abommy.
It depends. Would the forged weapons cast the skills using your skill tree?
The reason I ask is because this would make it so that when creating a smite build, for example, would become mandatory to use forged weapons with Palarus, because it would be magnitudes better than manual casting, since you’d get a dozen weapons triggering smite 3 times per second EACH.
And if they don’t use the skill tree, then the unique effects would just become visual clutter and be irrelevant for damage (although maybe a couple uses could be made for debuffs on it).
Maybe it could be a node in the forged weapons cluster where you apply the special effects?
First I have no idea how to or don’t have access to make polls on site.
Second this wasn’t meant as hey devs you should do this, but a hey players what’s your opinion on this.
Feel free to make a poll about it if you know how.
He didn’t mean you should make a poll. He meant that instead of Off-topic this should be in the Feedback and Suggestions category (the one that is used for “Hey, this would be a nice thing”), so people can actually vote.
EHG doesn’t have to do it, but it gets more visibility and they might find the concept interesting enough.
Didn’t want to get into the whole break down of how it would work. Just wanted to know how players felt about the general idea. As I don’t want to get in any form of arguments over balance and power creep and ways to break it. I just wanted player feedback on if the general idea of forged weapons getting to use special abilities, as I find it fits the idea of living weapons better in my eyes.
Honestly I’ve recently put a bunch of suggestions up and I’m kind of at the point where I should just make one mega post of all ideas in my mind. I just keep lying in bed or on the couch and think hey I want to post this. Like I have a whole concept I’ve been thinking up over a new base class of dragon tamer (where you are blood bound to a baby dragon). with three masteries of dragon knight (a melee focused spear class that rides a dragon and pulls from both melee and minion stats). A draconian (a class that has absorbed the dragon to become a hybrid human dragon with dark themes of consuming dragons to get stronger). And a dragonoid tinkerer (think of a dragon that has been heavily damaged and techno magic (which is like steam punk with a splash of wizardry ) was used to create a “machine like” dragon autonomous minion. And would add a six attribute called “spirt” that would give added hybrid flat melee/minion melee.
I think if they don’t inherit the weapons special abilities then the weapon node should be the same as the armor/boots/helm and have a % value, I would personally like to see 4 points and each poing being 250% for a total of 1000% of weapon stats - HAHAH KIDDING THATS RIDICULOUS!!! Ya know that would still probably only hit for 35% as hard as earthquake bear thou… now thats truely ridiculous lol
