I hope so, given time.
The selection seems OK for now, although I wish we had a few more points to invest into our skills as some pre-req nodes take 1-4 to go into the next and sometimes I don’t even want 1 of said node in my build.

There will also be issues of power creep once things are expanded and added into the game as time goes on. I’m sure they’ll figure out a way to balance it if and when the skill trees get expanded.

Likely but not till well after launch I would guess.

Just thinking ahead to post launch content and the general progression that games like this go through - got to add more difficult bosses to challenge players, as more players are higher than 85 level so they need more things to do with their builds to handle the new more difficult content etc… continual cycle that will probably plateau when the game difficulty requires everyone be level 100s…

and even then without adding new more difficult content, there is just simple creativity where adding new skill nodes might enable a lot more different playstyles…

Mike has talked about how there is kinda an upper limit on how many nodes they would put into a tree. He was playing javelin at the time and pondering how many more ideas they had for it that were cut because it was just too much for one skill.

So i can see a few very notable ones here and there but i think it is more likely they would rework the whole skill if they felt it was outdated.
