We got a gold/item dupe that ruined the economy on 1.0.
The same thing happened again on 1.1.
Now, on Season 2, do you think the economy will be disrupted again?
If PoE 2’s new update had been a success, I think most people’s attention would be focused on that game, and so few “dupers” would care about Last Epoch. In the current situation, though, I’m rather sure people will try to ruin the economy… The only question is whether EHG still left loopholes in the game or not.
I only just started playing a month or so ago but they asked that guy Mike about dupers in one of the interviews I was watching and he said they havent had any issues with dupes for aggggesss (of any kind) and they have protection/scanning/alerting stuff in place for if that did somehow happen again.
They did. All games do. It’s inevitable. Even PoE2 had an exploit with 0.2. PoE1 still has exploits every now and then. The big harm from these exploits comes when it becomes public and everyone tries to use them. Otherwise it’s usually just a handful of people using them and they have very limited impact on the economy.
The most important thing is having in place systems that can make it so you can react to the exploits fast and fix them before it becomes a major issue. This is something GGG does really well these days, so most people don’t even realize there was an exploit going on.
Hopefully, all the systems EHG has placed to detect these things also works well and they can respond swiftly.
It is said that when teaming up to play the first in the second row of the third category of the secret realm, there is a probability that the last six boxes will not be opened. Cheaters can copy items infinitely by teleporting back to the city. Hope the official can repair and sanction those cheaters
