There are tons of notepad edited players and hackers on this sites own ‘Ladder’ section and it seems to be a pretty bad sign for the multiplayer release. If there’s dog poop all over someones yard, usually their house is dirty, too. I was hoping to grind out a new build and see where I stand on the arena waves. For all I know, 100% of the people in the top 100 edited their notepads.
Now, obviously ARPG’s have the laziest player bases out of any game, and cheating/botting is expected. But you’d think when it’s sitting right on this website, they’d have hired someone to remove cheaters with the millions of dollars in purchases they’ve had.
There apparently was several posts about a streamer (apparently cheaters names are protected so I can’t say it)
All these precautions with trading to stop RMT, yet streamers who might bring the Devs money gets a free pass. I’d say I hope I’m wrong, but currently I’m right. I guess cheating is allowed as long as the devs get their cut.
In the posts I saw about cheating on reddit, the Devs actually scolded the player reporting the cheater, calling it ‘harassment’ to take screenshots of his hacked items. The game should detect if you’ve edited your files and you should be banned permanently if you cheat. Even Warcraft 3, twenty years ago, could detect cheaters. I fail to believe they have no way to enforce this.
