Disintegrate's range

I’ve been trying a disintegrate build, but find the range to be too short. Literally any ranged monster will outrange your disintegrate. To clarify: if you’re already channeling and ranged mobs are agrod as well, they will stand at a distance that outranges your beam. This means in a worst case scenario you have to stop casting and move, which is particularly annoying if you go the Amplification way for example.

I’m aware that there’s such a thing as ‘Extension’ to compensate for it, but it is hidden too far away behind other nodes that don’t match with various other possible disintegrate builds.

I’d suggest to either place Extension closer to the starting point of disintegrate, or to extend the base range to at least match the minimum distance ranged monsters tend to hit from when agrod while already channeling.

Fully agree. Range is very short compared to other skills. I don’t want to hit enemies off screen (even when other characters have skills that can do that.), but at least I wanna hit enemies on screen.

Compared to Bow skills which don’t have a max range, they just keep on going until they hit something.

i played a disintegrate build a while back, the more annoying thing i found was that the beam couldnt hit targets that were down/up a ramp. The beam would just pass over them.

An idol and/or class affix that does this sounds like a good idea to me.

Ah yep, that really annoyed me as well the first time I stepped into an arena with a disintegrate build. Fixing that would be really nice.
