Disappointed to say the least

I played Last Epoch for 1 week before the launch and IMO the game is very dractically more challenging and unforgiving in many ways.

Trash mobs in monoliths, dungeons, heck any place I’m in are one shotting my level 100 with over 2500 health and about 4k ward.

I’m also getting one shotted from mobs and enviromental damage such as a lightening storm strike or a sudden fireball with 0 warning or any animation. Mobs not even in los across the map charging or casting one shot abilites.

Sorry but I never experienced the number of one shot mechanics and difficulty of maps in beta and TBH I think its rather a black eye on this game releasing a very much different and bugged experience for release.

Also Julra T4 is bugged and killing me over and over again with void pools on the ground and my character is no where near it.

I think this is a great game with alot of potential but the focus I see right now is once agian catertng to players complaining and crying about their favorite class cannot do or perform as good as the current meta.

I’m not saying balance and fixing unitended bugs or overperforming things are not important, but once the nerf bat and the crying starts, and it has, the thing I’m talknig about never get fixed or looked at until your player base says not for me and its too late.

Please look at the mobs in moniliths one shotting out of los and Julra’s void pool mechanics T4.

Last note necromancer mage and wraith minions cast range were nerfed at launch or shortly after, but its ok for the game to kill me before I can even se them?

Whats weird is i upped my refresh rate in-game yesterday, to 142fps to test if the slowdowns were allieveated. (lowered couple settings) But what i found was similar to your experience, Getting 1 shot by aoe that was not near me, Invisible deaths that at the time i yelled huh as nothing was around me at the time.

I’m not sure if this is possibly something that could happen. But a lot of the enemies in this game appear from underneath the floor. Maybe sometimes they fail to appear from there and can attack without us realizing they’re in that spot channeling some big spell or something.

Or perhaps they simply are invisible. I have been 1 shot many times to seemingly invisible stuff. But I’m not on HC so I simply don’t care.

I do wish the game stopped using those AOE indicators and just used the spell windup as the indicators themselves. The boss I was fighting last night the Void Bird in the big circle arena in space or whatever. When he does his circular move that spins around in pie sections I have to actively ignore what the indicator is trying to convey, same with his dive attack that drops several pools in an array, they’re usually disjointed by the indicator.

I also have to wonder if blessings even work. I have +79% drop for arorned idols and most of the time get everything but adorned idols.
Same with 1 handed axe’s. I get more 2 handed axes or swords than the odd axe that ever drops haha

I hear you but this is also part of what I like about the game.

Some of the boss fights for instance are sweatier than I like but usually, I can do some research and manage. I don’t want them to dumb the game down too much when a LOT of people WANT this. Yet I am also still formulating my own opinions.

I HATE tier IV Julra with all my passion and I feel you on this one. I did the over the top work to farm a high tier unique and yet I ALSO have to deal with her on tier IV just to craft it into a legendary?? This angers me. I wish they would lower the threshold to tier III and on tier IV you just get special goodies or some such. Tier IV just makes me… GRRRR, I won’t even finish the thought but yeah, not happy with this.

What corruption are you scaled to? What are you resists like? You have 100% crit avoidance? You try not standing in fire?

There are absolutely warnings and animations for all these things, you’re just ignoring or missing them.

This is a known problem where certain mobs will cast from outside line-of-sight, but it’s not as prevalent as you’re trying to imply.

High end tier 4 Julra and other challenges are meant to stress your build, to force you to memorize mechanics and move to adjust, avoiding all forms of damage. No build is supposed to straight up face-tank the current hardest boss in the game.

As someone who got into LE around 0.8.2 or so, I’ll say that the opening bit is harder than it used to be, but the game by itself is about the same difficulty if not less difficult with how well choreographed everything is. A boss wants to attack one way? There’s a giant wall of light on the ground telling me to avoid it. A fireball launched at me? There’s a glowing spell-rune on the floor, I should run away from that.

Having challenging bosses and end-game corruptions isn’t a “black eye” on the game.

You try on a different server? Maybe test it in offline mode? I’m curious if this is latency/ping related, in which case it may be more-so an issue with your MS ping than anything. I get about 30-50ms on average connecting to US servers and I don’t seem to have any of the issues you’ve claimed.

There’s certainly players like that, but where do you see the devs catering primarily to them? In fact a lot of those people got annoyed because their bugged builds got bugfixed recently, which resulted in a “nerf”.

I assume you’ve opened the bug report tab in-game and sent in detailed information and player data pertaining to these bugs whenever they occur?

Their skill interactions and stats were fixed, they were originally bugs. They had the effect of a nerf, but they weren’t a straight nerf since they were simply brought in line with how their text intends.

Also fixing bugged skills and your problem here are not really the same. They can do both, my guy.

You have any video footage of these Julra runs? These one-shots that are bugged and not choreographed? I would love to see them, as I assume EHG would too.
