Is there no way to turn off the minimap? I hate having a constant visual telling me where to go I want to just play the game.
I’ve found one weird workaround which is open overlay map and use arrow keys to push it way off screen but I also play with a controller and it needs to be reset every time if i do want to check the map for one second.
Shouldn’t need such a weird half working solution for what’s a basic feature in every other game.
Can’t you turn the transparency to a point where you don’t see it?
I never tried so I don’t know if there’s some “cap” to these settings.
Unfortunately no. The minimap itself has no adjustable settings and the overlay can’t be reduced to 100% opacity.
It would be such an easy fix that I’ve seen a few people ask about for years now. It ruins the exploration for people who are into that.
You should make a feedback topic instead. Devs will see that more easily and it will allow other players to vote and chime in as well.
