Disable Loot Filter is not working

What went wrong?

I was updating my loot filter and proceeded to drop an item to test it, fully expecting to disable my loot filter to pick said item back up, however disabling the loot filter has no effect. Now I cannot pick up the item I dropped which I need for my character.

Reupdating the loot filter has no effect.

Is there another way I can recover this item that is on the floor?

EDIT: I found the “Toggle Toottips For Items on the Ground” setting which allowed me to recover the item. Is Disable Loot Filter working as intended? Maybe I am misunderstanding how “Disable Loot Filter” is supposed to work?

I had similar problem. I think it happens because of alt+tab. Pressing “X” + alt+tab fixed it for me once. But other time it didnt.

I discovered this by accident. It’s definitely tool tips on the ground. I use a controller, and even though it doesn’t show in the configure inputs, long pressing the right thumb stick (portal) will disable the tool tips and make your loot appear broken to pick up. Control Z, it long pressing the right thumb stick again will fix it. I’ve found no way to unmap the long press.
