Dialogues feel awful to read

Well, basically, title. In most games where you have dialogues/npc talking, you usually have one of two systems:

  1. 1 click text: text just displayed, click moves to next dialogue
  2. 2 click rolling text: text is being rolled, 1st click skips rolling animation, 2nd click moves to next dialogue

But in LE the system is basically “1 click rolling”, which is beyond frustrating for people who read text fast, if you want to read story you have to wait for the whole text rolling animations.

From my experience in all games where devs tried to play around with these systems and create something new the only outcome was some kind of frustration. Be it pause in 2 click, unskippable rolls, etc. These two systems I mentioned in the beginning are kind of proven old and working ways to satisfy both people who want to skip dialogues entirely and people who read them.

I do understand that most people just skip dialogues in this game, so 1 click option is more optimal in some sense, and wanting fancy rolling text is also very understandable. But honestly then just give us option to disable rolling text, that would help a lot

Yeah, first thing I did was click to try and make the dialog finish so I could read it faster and it just skips it? huh… lol. Then I tried to find some text speed settings like slow, fast, instant but no that doesn’t exist either. Oh well, guess I’m just skipping all the dialog instead.

definitely second this, as someone who is at least interested in the game’s lore (or at least someone who wants to be interested) it becomes hard to care when it becomes annoying to simply read dialogue. within an hour of first playing the game, my mindset aligned with SeanRP’s in that it became way more bearable to just skip dialogue instead lmao
