Desert Areas too bright

I have the feeling as if the Desert Areas in the game are layered over with a white film. It’s really blinding. It really hurts my eyes trying to play in these areas. Please look at this example. To me it’s very bright.

Edit: I also noticed how hard the overlay map outlines are to see, Also the Text blends in with the background. Things in bright areas are very hard to discern. It’s also very bad for ones eyesight. Sitting infront of a led lit monitor is not good in general, but this just makes things very unpleasant. I would like to know what other people think. Maybe it’s just me.
My guess as to why this was done. A cheap method of presenting sandy gust of wind. By just adding a color filter over the scene you just loose visual quality. By adding an actual windy sand gust effect you would not only do what you had layed out in the first place, but also be able to see the background quality of the props created aswell as have more visual clarity. That’s just my oppinion and take.

So i have been comparing multiple areas and screens within the game and even in menus.
It seems this game has a high level of gamma going on in it. It’s just very noticable in very bright areas. No idea what is going on.
