navigating a map is fun, but can be tedious. a travel skill (jump, teleport, dash, etc) would be amazing to have as a default for all characters and bindable to another key outside of qwer i.e. space.
It’s especially noticeable when i go the wrong way and have to walk back. walking-sim is a little boring.
yeah i get that. but would be lovely if it sat outside of the main offensive skills. travel could be it’s own skill class. d4 seems to have this concept that allows for travel skills to be available as default, poe feels default (except for ruthless which is a slog)
Similar suggestions have been brought up in the past and the devs said that there are no plans to give travel skills a dedicated slot.
This would mean massive changes to the build possibilities and balancing.
The amount of available skills that you can use and specialiser is very specific and carefully designed that way.
I don’t really think giving traversal skills their own skill slot would do a lot for the game.
It just means almost every build will have one more skill and I don’t like that.
For a lot of skills one more skill actually means less build diversity and not more, because there are only so many skills that will go well together and the decision between picking skill A or skill B is what I like about games that only give you limited choices.
I don’t like the idea of being able to use too many/all skill and your suggestion would be one step closer to that
