What went wrong?
In Hardcore, a friend had entered a boss engagement in echoes, and moved slightly upon entering. It did not appear the boss fight was starting, so I portaled to him. After portaling, apparently the boss fight had started and the boss began using abilities. Once my screen loaded in, I was already dead from enemy effects that were occurring in the area. I had no chance to do anything.
