Firstly, congrats on a fantastic game. I only am starting to get into it with my Hardcore mage. I love it so far.
I had some ideas for both hardcore and non-hardcore play that can add not only some bragging rights, but also in game bonus’ to your abilities or something if you simply don’t die. For example, you could have an aura that strengthens your abilities, or other cool things linked to amount of time since last death in non hardcore. And in hardcore, well… We know the penalty for death there.
Just throwing that out there. I think it would be a cool mechanic to promote good play with a good balance for penalty for death!
Also a good skill tree with useful skills should be expensive to respec. My 2 cents.
